About

Learn about who and what PTIA is all about and get to know the Board and community liaisons!

Perkasie Towne Improvement Association was originally founded as Perkasie Olde Towne back in 1988. This nonprofit organization was formed by a few business owners whose businesses had been affected by the fire in Shelley’s Lumber Yard. The fire was deemed to have caused about $9 million in damages and impacted most of Perkasie’s Town Square. Community events were scheduled as fundraisers to help in the business partner's efforts to bring our town back to a thriving place.

As the downtown area began to recover, this group found that the residents and businesses really enjoyed the festivities and there were still plenty of opportunities to help improve our community. Money that was raised from these events went to hosting and improving the annual events and funding of the PTIA efforts in Perkasie.

Today, our goal is to bring awareness to the great resources the town of Perkasie has to offer our residents, right here within this wonderful community.
